The first BIG lip . . . it's not pretty.

Josh, Ti and I ventured to the park one evening before dinner. Alas, Tivon did not know what was in store. He of course had to slide down the slide first thing but then he made the fateful decision to go to the sandbox. While there, he scooped, he dug, and he toddled around in the sand. BUT there was a big hole (dug previously by some devious toddler) next to the side of the sandbox. Both Josh and I thought Ti saw the hole and was maneuvering around it when, BAM, in an instant, he fell down, lip first into the concrete wall around the sandbox. There was blood. There was screaming. There was cuddling. Then there was Tivon pushing away from me because he wanted to play some more. I guess he's okay but here's the evidence.

a proud moment for dad when he insisted on playing though he still had a bloody lip. The rugby dream lives on.
