ACL 08!!! (Austin City Limits Music Festival 2008)
Ears still ringing. Throats still clogged with dust. Muscles tight. But totally worth it! Just like '05, we had a great time.

Bridget was in bed with strep-like symptoms all last week but the gods of rock 'n roll graced us with an ACL miracle. Tivon got to sport a new do for the day (will this come back to haunt us?) and learned to breakdance, sort of. Not much hope that he'll ever be really good at that. Have you seen his parents dance (anything but swing)? ACL added a section just for kids that was just as much fun as the big kid stuff. Ti helped keep the crowd going during intermissions by throwing his beach ball at them.

In one afternoon/evening we took in Mr. Ray, and the Jimmies for Ti, Gillian Welch, Stars, Neko Case, Xavier Rudd, Okkervil River, the Raconteurs, Teagan & Sara, and a hint of the Foo Fighters before heading up the "hill" for home.

As always our house is open for visitors and would definitely recommend going with us next year! Just bring your tent and a bike.
