HAPPY HALLOWeeN!
Here's our family portrait for Halloween. Josh was mama, I was ti-ti and Tivon was lil' dada. Throughout the course of the evening, Tivon was also Batman, Bob the Builder and a dragon. He just couldn't stand to have just one costume.

Tivon definitely was scared by all the masks. A couple of families on our block made spooky tunnels with dry ice and the works--ti was certainly scared by those but we thought they were fun. One of the funniest things of the evening was that of the 300 or so kids that came to our house, probably 298 of them thought Josh was a woman until he said, "Happy Halloween!"--It really freaked them out!

Bty, take special note of our scarecrow friend in the background. Tivon helped us stuff him and build him. every time we leave or enter the house for the last month, Tivon says, "Hello, Scarecrow" or "Bye-bye Scarecrow". He's really become part of the family. I think we will all miss him. Maybe he could transistion into a Turkey or Rudolph?

Pumpkin Patch Pals

We couldn't ask for much more cuteness than Tivon and his good friend Ruby at a pumpkin patch. They even got their picture taken by a newspaper reporter wanting to publish the photo. Of course everyone thought they were twins.

Grandma Visits!

Tivon was sooo excited for Grandma to visit. Unfortunately, I'm not sure she will ever be the same. Between the shrinking into a laundry closet to play hide and seek to reading stories in ti's tent with ALL of his pretend friends to staining your hands to make playdough--I'm pretty sure tivon had a blast. (I think grandma had fun too!)

Bath Time!
For some reason, bath time has been more of a struggle lately but Tivon loves it once he gets in. So we as parents have resorted to "pretend play" or manipulation to get him into the bath easily. For about a week, we convinced him that he built better buildings in the bath. Pictured below are "ti-ti's house", "mama's work" and "dada's work". Josh was very impressed with his modern use of simple material to create complex designs.

Trip to IN

Ti, Pappy Lin and Josh did a few rounds on the combine gathering corn. Tivon was very excited to be up sooo high.

Then he got to pet horses on Papaw and Grandma Lee's farm. This boy is pretty lucky to have his "city" home and his country vacation home. :)

Go fast Daddy!

So ti and I had a blast cheering on Daddy in his first triathlon. Tivon held and sign and yelled at Josh while he was riding his bike--not sure if Tivon understood why he was yelling but he did know that we wanted Daddy to go fast.

Josh did a fabulous job too. He finished 23rd in his age group. Yay for him! I guess all that training paid off. He's looking at doing another off road tri in November.

Of course, Ti's favorite "costume" for the next few weeks was "fast dada".

Then he also wanted to be dada swimming. I promise we did not force him to put this cap on--he even started wearing it for bath time. Poor kid. Those brains are smooshed for sure.

Our Lil' Bucket head

If my memory serves me well, there's a very similar picture of Josh in the archives somewhere.
